Borno Flood: President Tinubu Visit Flood Stricken Borno State

After arriving at 3:40 p.m., he went to one of the emergency camps to offer his condolences to the flood victims. President Tinubu gave the displaced people at the camp his word that his administration will help them.

“I want to give you my word that you will have our full support. God be with you”, Tinubu uttered.

The President’s entourage includes the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, and more Presidential officials.

After visiting the flood-affected police facilities in Maiduguri earlier in the day, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun was at the Maiduguri Air Force Base to greet the President.

In addition, the president was received at the Air Force Base by Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, chairman of the Governors’ Forum; Bala Mohammed, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum; Ahmed Ododo, governor of Kogi State; and Ahmed Aliyu, governor of Sokoto State.

Meanwhile, Maiduguri is experiencing intense rain. After his official trip to China and his brief vacation in the UK, Tinubu had just returned to the nation last night.
