We are currently recruiting for a key role in our Maintenance and Inspection (M&I) team. The successful candidate will be integral to the ongoing maintenance and efficient operation of our systems, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed industry standards and client expectations.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced CMIMS (UniSup) Engineer to join our team based in Lagos. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Maintenance Engineering and will take the lead role in managing the use of the Deep Water SAP PM module.

As the primary user and focal point for this system, the engineer will be responsible for coordinating user training, offering technical support, ensuring the correct application of the SAP PM tool, and preparing detailed reports on its usage.

The role also involves overseeing the proper implementation of system data updates and ensuring all processes are followed according to site modification requests. Additionally, the engineer will play a significant role in facilitating the maintenance and inspection activities, liaising with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure that all tasks are completed in line with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead SAP PM Module Management:
    • As the lead user of the Deep Water SAP PM module, the CMIMS Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the tool’s usage within the Maintenance and Inspection (M&I) teams. This will include ensuring that the tool is utilized to its full potential and ensuring all users follow established protocols and procedures.
    • The engineer will monitor the application of SAP PM to identify any deviations from best practices and take corrective actions as required.
  2. Training and Support:
    • Organize and coordinate comprehensive training sessions for all users of the SAP PM module, ensuring they are well-equipped to use the system effectively.
    • Provide ongoing technical support to users, both remotely and on-site, to ensure that the system operates seamlessly and that users are confident in using all available functionalities.
  3. Performance Monitoring:
    • Regularly monitor and assess the performance of the SAP PM system through weekly and monthly reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and system usage.
    • Evaluate system usage across the M&I teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and addressing any issues that may arise.
    • Take corrective actions when necessary to ensure consistent system performance and proper usage by all stakeholders.
  4. Data Management:
    • Oversee the organization and implementation of data updates in accordance with site modification requests and system requirements.
    • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure that data updates are accurate and that all modifications are properly recorded within the system.
  5. Procedure Development and Process Control:
    • Develop and refine the procedures associated with the use of the SAP PM system. Ensure that all protocols are up to date and relevant to the current needs of the organization.
    • Enforce the proper use of the system, ensuring that the M&I teams follow established guidelines and industry best practices.
  6. Collaboration with Internal and External Teams:
    • Collaborate with the EGINA PM module administration and coordinate all related activities.
    • Work closely with SAP métier support and the SAP support center (Paris/Pau) to resolve any technical issues that may arise.
    • Coordinate mass data transfer activities for spare parts and technical data, liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure that data is transferred accurately and efficiently.
  7. Support and Maintenance Engineering Projects:
    • Actively participate in Maintenance Engineering Projects coordinated by the DW FOPS entity, contributing technical expertise and supporting project deliverables.
    • Provide ongoing assistance to the M&I teams, helping them to resolve any challenges and facilitating the smooth running of operations.
  8. Audit and Compliance:
    • Initiate and conduct regular audits of the use of CMIMS by the M&I teams, ensuring that the system is being used in accordance with best practices and organizational requirements.
    • Take corrective action when discrepancies or deviations from standard practices are identified, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and workflows.
  9. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Organize and control the development of reporting and analysis systems for the Unisup system, providing valuable insights to the M&I teams and management.
    • Produce detailed reports on system performance, user compliance, and operational efficiency.
  10. Activity Backlog Management:
    • Review activity backlogs on a regular basis and work with the relevant teams to eliminate them.
    • Develop strategies to address backlog issues, providing recommendations to management and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve effective solutions.
  11. General Duties:
    • Support M&I works planning, reporting, and logging processes as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring the overall success of the team and the company’s objectives.

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Sc/BEng) or a related field.
    • A professional certification or additional training in maintenance systems or SAP would be advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Exploration and Production (E&P) industry, with a particular focus on maintenance and inspection support roles.
    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with the Unisup or similar SAP-based CMIMS systems.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing CMIMS tools, particularly SAP PM modules.
  • Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in planning tools and SAP CMIMS systems.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train users and convey complex technical information clearly.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse groups, including internal teams and external partners.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in resolving system and process-related issues.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities and deadlines.
