A suspected bandit was slain on Friday by villagers in the Kwatarkwashi sector of Bungudu Local Government area in Zamfara State while traveling along the Gusau-Zaria route.
A villager who begged to remain anonymous claimed that the suspected bandit was recognized by the locals as one of the suspects tormenting the region, and they pursued and killed him.
He claimed that when the locals killed the robber, they found two highly advanced firearms in his possession. “Along the Gusau-Zaria highway, the murdered bandit’s body was left behind while locals went about their regular business,” he continued.
