Court Sentence 11 Men For Stealing In Oyo State
Eleven men were remanded to a correctional facility by an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan after they were accused of robbing two people in the Saki region of Oyo State of commodities worth N340,000 while carrying a rifle and cutlasses.
The one count accusation of armed robbery brought the 11 suspects to justice. Abdulahi, age 23, Muhammadu Abubakar, age 28, and Abu Abdulahi, age 30. Musa Abdulahi, 23, Muhammadu Abdulahi, 30, Muhammad Bello, 25, and Musa Amu, 22, were identified as they were followed by Umaru Dama, 27, Usman Sule, 23, and Sule Abubakar, 21.
The others are Muhammadu Abubakar, 28, Muhammad Abdulahi, 23, and Abu Abdulahi, 30.
She then postponed the case’s mention until November 14. The prosecution, Insp. Femi Omilana, had earlier informed the court that the defendants had committed the crime in the Saki region of Oyo State on September 13, at 9:00 a.m.
Omilana claimed that the defendants robbed two people of commodities worth N340,000 while brandishing a rifle and cutlasses.
He claimed that the defendants had stolen a motorcycle worth N280,000 from one Mr. Ibrahim Yuma and three bags of Soya beans worth N60,000 from one Mr. Moshood Isau.
He claimed that the Robbery and Firearms Laws of Nigeria, 2004’s Section 1 (2)(a)(b) was broken by the offence.
