Edo Poll: Police Arrest Over 50 Criminals During Election

The Edo State gubernatorial election last Saturday resulted in the arrest of six individuals, according to DIG Frank Mba, the deputy inspector general of police.

He said this while providing an update on the Edo governorship election that took place last Saturday.

Additionally, he revealed the recovery of four different mix weapons, live ammo, 58 voter cards, and some stolen BiVAS machines. “We have six arrests in total,” he declared.

“As investigations go on, we anticipate that this number will rise significantly since we anticipate accomplices. I am implying that there will be individuals who supported, procured, abetted, and facilitated these apprehended suspects.”

“As of right now, we are holding six suspects in total, but as we continue to broaden and go deeper into our investigations, we anticipate that this number will probably rise.”

“Additionally, a total of four weapons in various mixes were found. This is also a topic of extensive research. When those firearms were being retrieved, life ammunition was also found. ”

“We entirely retrieved certain amounts in cash, and 58 voter cards that were in the unauthorized possession of a suspect were also recovered, along with several stolen or unlawfully obtained BiVAS devices.”

Mba urged state citizens to behave themselves as admirably as they have been, stressing that there is nothing to be concerned about.
