EFCC Arrest Over 20 Internet Fraudsters In Abuja

In the Gwagwalada neighborhood of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have taken into custody twenty-nine suspected perpetrators of online fraud.

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, agents of the EFCC’s Abuja Zonal Directorate took the suspects into custody.

The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, stated in a statement.

The statement claims that the suspects were taken into custody at many Gwagwalada locations as a result of reliable information regarding their alleged involvement in online fraud.

Additionally, according to the statement, 32 various kinds of phone handsets were found on the suspects. The accused will face charges in court as soon as the investigations are finished, according to the anti-graft agency.
