Federal Government Set To Benefits From Halal Revenue In 2027
Shettima made this revelation on Wednesday while he was in Abuja for the Nigeria Halal Economy Stakeholders Engagement Program. The goal of the program, “Building A Vibrant Halal Economy: Unlocking Nigeria’s Potential,” is to increase investments in the halal market in order to boost Nigeria’s economy.
The Arabic term “halal” means “lawful,” “permitted,” or “permissible.” Nigeria now has more than a hundred goods with the Halal certification.
Records that are now available indicate that the worldwide halal economy is expected to reach $7.7 trillion by 2025. Shettima went on to say that the federal government will investigate the prospects presented by the halal market.
He asserts that the halal economy has enormous potential and fits well with President Bola Tinubu’s economic plan.
He stated that Nigeria will create a thorough halal strategy in order to attract elite markets.
