‘I learnt how to sing first before talking’ – Oxlade

According to Nigerian artist Oxlade, whose real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, he began singing before he could speak.

In a recent podcast episode of ’90s Babies,’ Oxlade stated that his parents had informed him of this.

He clarified that when he was younger, he sung more quickly than he could speak.

“My singing surpassed my conversational pace. That’s what my parents informed me. That seems to be where my talent first emerged.”
