‘I take responsibility for Chelsea’s lackluster performance’ – Graham Potter Reveals

Potter was hired by Chelsea in September 2022 following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel. They compensated Brighton over £21 million for the manager and other members of his backroom team.

Potter got a five-year deal, but after less than seven months in command, he lost his position. In a statement on Friday via Fabrizio Romano’s X handle, Potter stated, “I take responsibility for the results.

“However, the simple explanation is that because Chelsea isn’t winning, the coach must be the issue. While it might not be entirely incorrect, it is also not entirely correct.

After just over six months in command, Potter was fired. During that time, the team won 12 games, tied eight, and lost 11 in all competitions.
