London Criminals Who Shot Little Girl Sentenced To Prison
After a Specialized Crime Command investigation by the Metropolitan Police, two individuals who had fired shots at a car carrying a four-year-old child and her brother were given substantial prison sentences.
Jordan Shaw, 20, of Green Lanes, N8, was sentenced to 21 years in jail on a number of counts, including attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and possession of a handgun with the purpose to endanger life.
Joshua Fraser, 19, of King Edwards Road, E9, received a 14-year sentence for conspiring to commit murder and possessing a handgun with the purpose to endanger life.
Shaw and Fraser opened fire on a car at Shrubland Road, Hackney, on February 25, 2023, mistaking it for a rival gang’s vehicle, according to the Met Police.
Rather, the automobile was filled with a defenseless family consisting of a four-year-old girl and a thirteen-year-old boy.
Fortunately, the attack did not result in any injuries. Shaw fired three rounds on August 11, 2023, on Stoke Newington High Street, injuring a man in the arm, according to the police.
Shaw was also involved in another shooting. Shaw and Fraser were taken into custody at their residences on May 31, 2023, and October 4, 2023, respectively, after a comprehensive investigation.
The gun used in the Hackney massacre was found by detectives, and forensic examination showed it had been used in 11 prior shootings in London.
The sentencing took place on 3 September at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
The Met Police revealed that in the past year, 386 illegal firearms were seized across the capital, contributing to a reduction in gun crime incidents from 196 to 145 between April 2023 and March 2024.
