NAFDAC Warns Nigerians Against Buying Pastor Jeremiah’s New Products

Under the pretense of being registered with the top health agency, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) claims it is investigating products promoted and sold by Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, supported by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

In a statement released on Sunday, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director General of NAFDAC, warned Nigerians about the actions of a faith-based organization that utilizes the NAFDAC name to deceive the public and is located at Km 5 Effurun, Sapele Road, Delta State.

According to Adeyeye, the agency has received a ton of petitions from worried residents regarding Prophet Jeremiah on miraculous water and soap that are being marketed to gullible people by spiritual ministries and touted with promises of healing and miracles.

“The Minister, Prophet Jeremiah, demonstrated on social media how to treat infertility with Miracle Water and Miracle Soap. If the women used the soap, he said, they would become pregnant with twins. He said in front of his congregation that the soap is registered with NAFDAC.

People started coming into the office to verify the claims as a result. “To verify the false claims, the petitioners also submitted the following products from the Spiritual Ministry to NAFDAC,” stated Adeyeye.

The products featured were Miracle & Healing Water, River Jordan Water, A New Beginning Mount Camel Miracle Water, Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida (1L), Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida Water, Water of Life, and Father Smelled Perfume.

Adeyeye further revealed that the Delta State Coordinator was contacted by the agency’s Director Post Marketing Surveillance in order to obtain any records pertaining to transactions involving the spiritual ministry and the items at the Delta State Office, where they are manufactured. NAFDAC stated in part in the statement that “the State Coordinator secretly purchased the Miracle Water (25cl) for 3000 naira from the Ministries and took the pictures.”

According to the agency, the Chief Security Officer and Head of Service, Mr. Ogunleye Fufeyin, were met by the State Coordinator Delta State on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Mercy Land Ministry.

However, the officials denied supplying Miracle and Healing Water or Soap, “even with the evidence of the receipt of purchase.”
