Plateau State Governor Dissolves LG Transitions
On Saturday, Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs, revealed this in a statement. The governor gave the Directors of Personnel Management instructions to take over council area management until elections to fill the seats are held on October 9, 2024.
As chairmen of the transition implementation committee, Governor Mutfwang further praised the chairmen of the transition committees for their outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing developmental projects that have a direct impact on their communities.
He conveyed his delight with their achievements and asked them to keep providing insightful advice to advance harmony and peace within Plateau State and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chairmen of the transition implementation committees were also urged to work with their people to guarantee the party’s victory in the upcoming local government elections.
The governor restated his commitment to governing the plateau in a way that is inclusive, accountable, and transparent in order to meet the needs of all residents. Following Governor Mutfwang’s dissolution of elected local government council officials, the transition committee was established in June 2023.
