Police Nabs Suspected Indian Hemp Trafficker In Nasarawa State
A 43-year-old man was reportedly taken into custody by the Nasarawa State Police along the Nasarawa-Toto route, where he was allegedly a narcotics dealer. According to a statement made by DSP Ramhan Nansel, the public relations officer, an anonymous tip led to the arrest.
According to Nansel, a two-person Toyota Camry that was seen travelling toward the Nasarawa Toto axis was thought to be carrying illegal substances and criminals.
Police officers from the Toto Division were purposefully stationed to keep an eye out for the vehicle, and as a result, they found the suspect and the exhibits inside when they stopped it in the Gadabuke neighbourhood of Toto LGA, Nasarawa state.
The matter should be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia by the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the region, according to CP Umar Shehu Nadada, the Commissioner of Police, before being turned over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for additional investigation and prosecution.
