Police Urges Members To Be Of One Mind

The necessity of unity has been stressed by Elizabeth Egbetokun, President of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) and wife of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

Speaking to the membership on Tuesday during the FCT POWA secretariat’s opening in Abuja, Egbetokun emphasized that the association’s strength lies in its togetherness.

In addition, she exhorted the group to value diversity and work together to bring about significant change. As we proceed, let us never forget that our greatest strength is in our unity.

She reaffirmed, “Let’s embrace our differences, support one another, and collaborate to effect real change.

We are launching a ray of empowerment and optimism today, not just a new building.

Under difficult circumstances, the families who serve and defend our country are united by the spirit of solidarity embodied by this secretariat, the speaker said.

Through numerous efforts like skill enhancement seminars, training programs, and outreach activities, the secretariat hopes to empower women.

“Our goal is to give women the tools they need to support their husbands and succeed on their own,” Egbetokun continued.

The wife of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police overseeing Zone 7, Mrs. Chineye Igweh, the Chairperson of the FCT POWA, commended Egbetokun for her initiative in seeing the secretariat project through to completion.

Igweh underlined that improved service delivery and efficiency for FCT members will commence with the opening of the new facility.
