Transfer: Arteta Stops Top Star From Leaving Club
In the summer, despite interest from the Saudi Pro League, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stepped in to make sure forward Leandro Trossard stayed with the team.
At the close of the summer transfer window, Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Pro League team, looked at loaning Trossard, but Arsenal was determined to hang onto the player.
Het Nieuwsblad, a Belgian publication, claims that Arteta is a “true fan” of Trossard and has “blocked” his move. Arsenal is anticipated to extend an enormous contract to the player eventually.
Al-Ittihad offered Trossard a wage package of £12.5 million per year, which was three times his present salary, in exchange for a £4.1 million loan arrangement with an obligation to purchase him at £21 million.
Remember that in January 2023, Trossard made a £20 million transfer from Brighton to Arsenal. In 74 games for the North London Premier League team, the Belgian has netted 19 goals.
