This role is suited for a professional who is technically sound, detail-oriented, and capable of managing construction projects from initial planning through to completion.

Job Summary
The Civil / Structural Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and supervising a wide range of civil engineering projects. These may include residential and commercial buildings, roads, drainage systems, and other structural works. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects are executed in line with approved designs, engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies. This position requires hands-on site involvement, strong coordination skills, and the ability to provide practical engineering solutions to on-site challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and supervise civil and structural engineering projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, and drainage infrastructure

  • Prepare, review, and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation

  • Develop and review cost estimates, material specifications, and construction schedules

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, workmanship quality, and compliance with safety standards

  • Coordinate effectively with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution

  • Provide technical guidance on-site and ensure compliance with local and national engineering codes and regulations

  • Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively

  • Identify potential structural, design, or construction risks and propose practical, cost-effective engineering solutions

  • Prepare detailed progress reports, site reports, and technical documentation for management review

  • Ensure that quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Prior experience working on government projects or large-scale infrastructure developments

Salary:
₦250,000 per month
