About Pulse Nigeria

Pulse is Africa’s leading innovative media and marketing company, dedicated to informing and engaging the continent’s young, dynamic audience.
Through our news platforms, social channels, creative marketing services, and production capabilities, we reach millions across Francophone and Anglophone West Africa and East Africa — delivering both media influence and business impact.

As we continue to scale, we’re seeking a visionary Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead the next phase of our commercial growth in Nigeria.

The Role

The Chief Revenue Officer will be the commercial face of Pulse, driving revenue growth, building scalable products, and leading high-performing teams.
This role sits at the intersection of creativity and commerce — perfect for an ambitious leader who thrives on closing big deals, creating market-leading products, and inspiring cross-functional collaboration.

You will own Pulse Nigeria’s growth agenda, shape its hero offerings, and cultivate strong relationships with top brands, agencies, and partners locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire: Oversee and energize Pulse’s commercial and sales teams, cultivating a client-first, results-driven culture.

  • Drive Growth: Design and execute a strategic revenue roadmap balancing short-term wins with long-term scalability.

  • Build Hero Products: Identify and expand the offerings that differentiate Pulse Media, Pulse Sports, Business Insider Africa, and Pulse Marketing — from branded content and influencer campaigns to PR activations and live experiences.

  • Strengthen Partnerships: Build lasting relationships with major clients and agencies, ensuring delivery excellence and measurable outcomes.

  • Be the Brand Ambassador: Represent Pulse in high-level discussions with C-suite executives, global HQs, and key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate Across Markets: Work with Pulse leaders in other African regions to drive a unified Pan-African commercial strategy.

  • Ensure Profitability: Partner with Finance and Operations to align on revenue targets, pricing models, and commercial reporting.

  • Build for Scale: Develop systems, tools, and processes that enhance efficiency, client value, and operational performance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and 7+ years of senior commercial leadership in media, advertising, tech, or FMCG.

  • Proven success leading high-performing revenue teams and managing multimillion-dollar accounts.

  • Strong network within the Nigerian market and solid relationships with brand decision-makers.

  • Experience collaborating with international clients or global brands is a plus.

  • A mix of strategic vision and executional excellence — capable of leading from the boardroom to the frontlines.

  • Charismatic communicator with strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Data-driven mindset with a solid grasp of revenue planning, forecasting, and performance metrics.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hybrid, creative environment.

Why Join Pulse Nigeria?

At Pulse, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape the commercial future of one of Africa’s most influential media and marketing companies.

  • Build and scale hero products that define the future of digital media, events, PR, and influencer marketing.

  • Collaborate with ambitious teams across Africa driving a unified growth strategy.

  • Lead a talented and driven commercial team poised for expansion.

What We Offer
