Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to manage financial bookkeeping, maintain accurate records, and support the financial operations of ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions including payments, expenses, invoices, and receipts.

Maintain accurate financial records for the project and reconcile budgets and expenses.

Assist auditors by compiling all relevant financial documents for audit reviews.

Support the Financial Controller with project schedules and general accounting procedures.

Prepare quarterly accounting reports and resolve any discrepancies during reconciliation.

Maintain organized databases for all payment vouchers and receipts in both hard and soft copies.

Prepare monthly financial reports or additional reports as requested.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.

Handle clerical and administrative tasks, including daily entries into QuickBooks.

Ensure accurate record-keeping, timely invoicing, and effective credit control.

Reconcile bank statements with financial records.

Adhere strictly to accounting standards and internal control procedures.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute).

Minimum of 2 years financial accounting experience.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and control procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of agribusiness is an added advantage.
