Job Description
The Experienced Hostel Master will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the school’s boarding facilities. The role involves overseeing students’ welfare, discipline, and safety while providing mentorship and pastoral support that encourages personal growth, responsibility, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise all hostel operations including accommodation, meals, sanitation, and security.

Ensure the welfare, discipline, and moral conduct of students at all times.

Maintain established hostel routines such as roll calls, prep hours, and lights-out schedules.

Provide pastoral care and guidance to students on personal, emotional, and academic matters.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on student welfare and progress.

Work closely with school management to ensure hostel policies align with the academy’s vision and standards.

Supervise hostel staff including wardens, cleaners, and kitchen staff.

Organize structured hostel activities and events that promote teamwork and community spirit.

Enforce safety procedures and respond promptly to emergencies.

Keep accurate records of student attendance, discipline cases, and welfare issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of one year of experience in hostel management, boarding school administration, or student welfare roles.

Training in child safeguarding, counseling, or pastoral care is highly desirable.

First Aid and safety certifications are added advantages.
