Role Description
The Field Service Specialist will join the IET Gas Service Technology team, supporting the installation, maintenance, overhaul, and commissioning of heavy-duty gas turbines and other rotating equipment. After completing an intensive training program, the successful candidate will work directly with customers, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical direction to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Lead installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and commissioning activities for rotating equipment at customer locations.
Prepare and update technical documentation, work plans, and daily or weekly reports for customers and internal teams.
Ensure all internal training, quality, and compliance documentation is completed and maintained according to company standards.
Utilize company digital tools to retrieve technical documentation, manage bills of materials, packing lists, and engineering drawings.
Support customers by diagnosing technical issues and recommending appropriate solutions during field operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
Maximum of three (3) years post-graduation experience in a mechanical role within the energy or oil and gas industry, or a similar environment.
Completion of NYSC is mandatory (exemption not accepted).
Basic knowledge of rotating equipment installation and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to guide clients through technical decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%), including offshore locations, with no geographical restrictions.
Valid international passport.
