Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of assigned projects. The role requires strong leadership, technical depth, and commercial awareness to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with client expectations. The successful candidate will also play a leadership role in proposal preparation and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Leadership

Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of assigned projects from initiation through commissioning

Ensure client objectives are clearly defined, agreed upon, and consistently met or exceeded

Drive delivery performance to achieve or surpass budgeted gross margins

Provide strong and visible leadership in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance
Team Management

Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams toward a shared vision of success

Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations

Monitor milestones and key objectives, addressing issues and removing obstacles as they arise

Mentor team members, contribute to performance evaluations, and identify training needs
Client & Stakeholder Management

Identify, document, and communicate client requirements effectively

Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across the project lifecycle

Maintain strong client relationships during and after project execution

Proactively resolve scope, cost, schedule, and performance issues in collaboration with clients
Cost, Design, and Execution Control

Prepare accurate project estimates and manage overall cost and performance budgets

Establish and maintain effective cost reporting and control systems

Set objectives for design, procurement, subcontracting, and construction teams

Ensure compliance with design standards, client specifications, and applicable regulations

Monitor construction activities to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (postgraduate qualification desirable)

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in facilities engineering, preferably within the oil and gas sector

Proven track record as a Project Manager on projects valued at US$100m or more

Broad knowledge of oil and gas engineering practices, processes, and tools

Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills

Demonstrated commitment to HSE management in a project environment

Experience working on Project Management Teams (PMT), reviewing EPC contractor deliverables

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly

Proficiency in MS Office and standard enterprise communication tools
