Primary Objective
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for executing development and detailed design engineering activities, including close coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The role focuses on engineering the next phase of Minimal Facility Platforms (MFPs), supporting offshore oil and gas developments while ensuring technical excellence, safety compliance, and quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical engineering design duties related to the development of the next phase of MFPs being engineered by WorleyParsons

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and optimized design solutions

Undertake equipment selection, specification, and detailed mechanical design in collaboration with designers

Participate in bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and technical approvals
-
Ensure all engineering activities comply with WorleyParsons’ Quality Assurance systems and Oil & Gas Business Unit guidelines

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years’ mechanical design experience within the oil and gas industry

At least 2 years’ experience working on offshore development projects

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Proven experience developing layouts for new oil and gas facilities

Strong background in specifying, evaluating, and documenting equipment for oil and gas production facilities

Ability to work with minimal supervision while following broad technical guidelines

Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
